Welcome Dellos, my father was from Poznan and I visited there 42 years ago. Last year I visited Krakow and was amazed at how much Poland had changed, all for the better! Krakow is a beautiful city with friendly people and great food!

Just came across this thread! I'll throw my 2 cents in. Peg boards, to me are not for tools. I typically put odd things on it, that would be hard to find if they were in boxes or drawers. Everything from unopened packages of screws, to bits of chain, rolls of string, big clamps that wont fit...

I too am from NJ and have paddled Split Rock, probably hundred of times. The new dock is a welcome addition. But the carry from the parking lot and down the hill still sucks!

Raystown it is! Wish I could make it, but have plans. I've always taken my 45 year old canvas Sears Ted Williams tent, 45 year old Coleman stove and Colman lamp of the same vintage. Glamping is appropriate there, hell, they even have warm showers.

Mike, 18 pack fits between my foot pegs! My boat was loaded as well, and several times coming off the wave the boat broached and the waves slapped against me from the side. Took a great deal of effort to turn down wind again. Had the boat been empty, I could've easily turned her.

As one of the attendees, I have to put this out there! I thoroughly enjoyed the high winds we experienced. Head winds are a challenge, but with the right boat and paddler, doable! The downwind runs were great, hit speeds beyond 8 mph many times. Foundered a few times due to a loaded boat...

I've been to Cambridge several times. Poling they do there is on punts, wide flat bottomed vessels and primarily for tourists. River they punt on is slow moving and murky, but the view from the river is great. Cambridge is a university town, with old buildings and a vibrant main square.

Last May I paddled Brady's Lake in PA. The lake was dead calm the entire 3 hours I was on the lake. I put in from the south and paddled North, My view of the North was all overcast and foreboding, on my return trip the sky cleared. Took over 200 photos that day, Here is a sample.
