If it doesn't have floatation chambers it is Royalex. If it has chambers and gelcoat it is most likely Tuff-weave. Any pictures?

You may try Wenonah. They used to be helpful witn older models. I had a Fisherman 16; the predecessor to the Adirondack. They are essentially the same hull. I liked mine. Pretty efficient for 16 feet. Not much, if any rocker. It is asymmetrical and mine had tractor seats so it was really not...

Wenonah uses what they call Tuff-weave. It is a fiberglass and polyester layup. It makes for a stiff hull that can take some abuse. It is not going to be as forgiving as Royalex or T-Formex, but will arguably paddle better. I had a Wenonah in Tuff-weave and liked it a lot. The port stern...

All this wanigan talk has got me thinking I should build one. I have been using a Sterilite footlocker for years to hold camping gear for car/canoe camping. Kind of a plastic wanigan I guess. Things that can't get wet go in dry bags. Things that can tolerate water go in the footlocker...

It looks like there may be something going on on the port stern of the Wenonah. It may be just the lighting. Another factor besides length and material is the seats. The Wenonah has tractor seats. People seam to either love them or hate them. I liked the ones I had, but my son did not.
