That's no comparison - not at all. Sure, it would have its appeal - but not the vastness, the wilderness and the solitude. The neighbor's green is always greener. ;)

Tarp type and set-up style, and let's see some pix

during a multy day paddle trip last year in summer I use this combo. Tatonka Mosquito Dome whith a HELSPORT Gapahuk Tarp. . . . The whole setup is light, quick and easy to assemble, and the shelter is very comfortable. If no rain is expected, I leave the tarp out. regards Michael

    Outfitting, Maintenance and Repair Preparations

Do you roll, fold or stuff your tent?

I find it easier to fold the tent, tarps and tipis first and then roll it up. Why? Because of the cords and ropes, which are then not quite as tangled as when I simply stuff the tent into the stuff sack.

How to Use a Water Rescue Throw Bag (explanatory video)

Throwing a throwline bag is just like in real life: Practice makes perfect. And it doesn't really matter how you throw - the main thing is that the bag gets to where it's supposed to go. On our last trip, I practiced throwing a throwline bag with my friends - both on land and in the water...
