Good idea! For the record I recently purchased a bunch of harbor freight spring clamps and they are just fine if anyone needs to expand their collection.

I don't like the pot gripper on the fry pan, often I will steady the handle with a gloved hand while turning something. I cooked a bannock in this pan today and it worked great other than the smokin hot handle. I will try make a phenolic one this week.

The second pan for a lid is a good idea. I'll have to stop and see if they have another one. I have been toying with making a lid from aluminum, maybe 1/4" thick that could serve as a griddle but I'm not sure how useful it would be.

I picked up a 10" t-fal on sale for $14, removed handle and made a removable one from aluminum. It gets pretty hot so I may make another from phenolic. I think I like it and the price was right. It still needs a lid and I'm undecided on what to do for that....any ideas?
