Looks like a dent, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I paid $800 when I bought my Yellowstone Solo new in 2026. Not many boat appreciate in value.
You paid $800 for a new Yellowstone in 2026 and you're saying that's common? Ok bud.
 
Yellowstone Solo in Royalex has not been built since I believe 2014 when then Bell Canoe (owned by ORC) stopped all canoe production (the company has since started again under the Redfeather brand, but Royalex is no longer available and all of their canoes, including the Yellowstone Solo, are built with composites. To see a good comparison of used prices over the past year, one can search through this site plus also the North American Canoe Trader page on Facebook - that gives a good idea of what a canoe is likely to fetch in any given condition...
