Breakup on the Yukon River, 2006

Glad you enjoyed it, Woodpuppy. That’s the whole reason to post! Have you paddled the Thelon? Are you planning to paddle the Thelon?

I think I got the best of the deal. Not only did I have a great place to view breakup, but I also learned a lot from Tommy.

I have not, nor do I have plans to paddle the Thelon. I need to stay on the bunny slope a bit longer!

I think you should publish.

Michael Pitt and his wife Kathleen have published.

Thanks for the mention, Glenn. I have also published two other books of trip reports posted here. One is “Beyond The End of The Road,” when Kathleen and I lived in the one-room cabin north of Great Bear Lake from January until breakup in June. My report is in the winter camping forum.

The other book describes four canoe trips down the Coppermine, Seal, Anderson and Snowdrift Rivers in northern Canada. I have donated this book in the past for the fundraiser raffle. Its title is “Franklin, Oops, Mud and Cupcake,“ a one-word summary for each of the four rivers. All my books are available on Amazon, or directly from me. The only downside of the books is that they do not have all the nice colour images of the trip reports here on canoetripping.
