I've experienced the same hunting pressures here in Iowa, as well as Colorado !
Though we were Skunked, on our quests, the Memories are still Fresh. And those I cherish !

They had a raft support and they also had the first moose flown out before the rapids. We did the same, the reason is, BIL wasn't confortable to run the 10+km of class II-III+ with a fully loaded raft(he isn't a rafters at all but did great with a lighter load). I Know that an experienced rafter could manage no problems...
