So a wile back, I started to make these, I made maybe 8 or 10 of them and gave most of them to friends so far... I don't remember where I got the idea from but I didn't invent it but I did modification to the one I got inspired from!
p.s. Again the photos didn't load in the selected order and I don't have a clue why....:(

The original idea wasn't my idea, but this design is mine I guess.... Yu know what they say, " The details are not the details, they make the Design..."

I have a little difficulty understanding. Is that bungee cord held by compression? Also, what purpose has the smaller string?

CR, is that a Viking rune on the grip of that paddle? If so, what does it mean?

Yes, Bungee cord help in place by compression/friction. The little string is to keep it attached to the thwart while not in use or if you need to get to the paddle quick and can't/don't have the time to redo the bungee around the thwart.

No Title

On the paddle grip, it is only some kind of compass rose... I use to put it on all the paddle I made kind of my maker's mark... But I changed it to something more like the north, A "white spruce" with my initials bellow...

thank you for posting, a lot cheaper than buying a cam-cleat at We$t Marine!

Great job David. Looks like it would be a good way to use up little pieces of scrap wood and old bungee cord. Your maker's mark is catchy too.
