    Favorite lure for smallmouth?

For SM, I fish streams and rivers...Delaware, Lehigh and Susquehanna. For LM, lakes and a sometimes get them on the rivers. I am lucky enough to have a large reservoir 1/2 mile from my house, as well as several streams within several minutes. Lehigh river is 40 minutes away and the Delaware is...

    Favorite lure for smallmouth?

I believe you are referring to the technique called "Wacky Rigging" and I do a lot of this for both SM and LM Bass. My preferred approach is using a "YUM" Yum Dinger 3.5 inch in pumpkin green and a Gamagatzi Octopus hook. (both available at Walmart) Fold the worm in half and run the hook...

Robin, I am one of the newbies. I really enjoy checking the site to see what's new 2 or 3 times a day. Lots of great info from lots of experienced trippers here. Everything is new to me, even what some would consider the same old question rehashed. So, thanks to all the regulars that post...

    buying used

Yes, but that is exactly why the questions are asked. It is interesting to get a variety of opinions or in the case of legal, medical or other questions, to hear people's varied experiences. That makes a forum a forum. Also something about learn from other's mistakes comes to mind. Just my...

    Digital Storage

For what it's worth, I saw this company profiled on CNBC last week. It is geared towards phone pictures, but looks pretty interesting. A small monthly fee and you send your pictures from your phone. They put them in an album...the pictures are pages in a book format, but the edge is...

Turtle, thanks for the offer. Nice gesture for sure. I doubt I'll ever get that far up, but one never knows and I'll keep it in mind. I am just outside of Philly.

Looking for opinions on a canoe

By the way, Steve, I have a flat web seat. It is adjustable to different angles and small height adjustment....not more than an inch I think.

Looking for opinions on a canoe

Well, it is great to hear so many opinions and options. I have learned so much that I need to reread this thread a few times to grasp it all. I think I will need to revisit my Vagabond and armed with info gained, explore its' possible potential. I can't thank all of you enough for your...

    Therm-a-Rest LuxuryLite Mesh Cot

" I think I'll stick to my hummock, it gives me that warm cozy snug feeling that I get when I'm wearing my Strait jacket. Rippy, now that is the funniest line I have heard maybe all year!

Looking for opinions on a canoe

Thanks Gavia, but now I have to go and Google "Tibias" to make sure I remember what parts we are talking about. All good. Now that the days are getting longer, it won't be long before I can get out on the water again to try this kneeling position. I saw a NU-Canoe boat with a raised seat...a...

Looking for opinions on a canoe

There is no reason other than I didn't know that it was a viable option. I am not sure how I will like fishing from that position, but will find out. The only reason I ever get in any boat is to fish. I take long all day trips on the rivers and lakes sometimes, but usually 1/2 day trips. I...

    Elf or Gremlin

I have gotten the white/blank page when trying to access the forum also. It has been hit and miss. I am in and out several times a day and had it twice today. I just wait a couple minutes and try again.

Looking for opinions on a canoe

Bluegrasscanoe, I just had a look at the site...bearcreekcanoes. That boat, the chubby looks pretty nice, but to get it at $550 I would need to go and pick it up from the factory. No shipping. Still, the canoe was looking good. Did you have to go to Maine to pick yours up? I think 12ft is a...

Looking for opinions on a canoe

Well, the Rendezvous sounds like fun and probably the best place to try as many boats as possible. I'll look into how far away it is from me. I do not have foot pegs/bar in the Vagabond. I know I've seen them for sale and will look into getting a set that is adjustable.
