My design is a traditional raglan sleeve, which moves the seam from the mid-arm placement to the front and back panels & the sides of course.

I consider a cagoule to fall below the knee.. but it is really just semantics. Parka, Anorak, whatever. A tripping Jacket that is good for paddling as well as camping is what I came to stir up.

Al, It is 6.25 oz waxed cotton. It is the lightest thinnest weight I could find. It is one step below sailcloth weight. Rewaxable in an individual’s specific areas of revamping and allowing breathability to shine, through wear…. & repairable.

Nice, Thanks for mentioning the PFD. Definitely an over/under design decision. I am a fan of the Astral as well. A buddy of mine let me borrow that same PFD for a trip once, in the rescue version.

Well Said & noted. My jacket currently drapes below the knee but is mid-thigh when in a sitting position. I do like having my knees covered for warmth but a spray skirt and/or decent pants can manage that task.
