    Sparkleberry Swamp- day trip

Wonderful write-up. Your pictures brought back some great memories from a Cedar Creek trip with a friend years ago in Congaree National Park. Lovely area, thanks for the trip report!

    Self Inflating Pads

I’m another fan of Exped pads. They mostly self-inflate then they’re easy to get to the desired firmness with their built in pump or bag. I’ve used the same one on all of my river overnights for about 20 years and our son spent every night of last summer on one. We like them so much that we...

    Hello from Vermont

Thanks for the welcome and suggestions. That’s a nice part of the state. I’ve looked into the North Forest canoe trail a little. It looks like there are some nice sections. The Missisquoi river going into Lake Champlain intrigues me and may be the first section I try. I hope to do an Adirondack...

Show us pictures of your canoe vehicle with boat(s)

A big canoe on a big truck. The canoe is a 20' Grumman Guide that we purchased from a moose guide in Maine. The truck is our work truck from our previous business. Completely overkill for canoe transport but it's headache rack and removable rear rack that fits into the stake pockets works well.

    Hello from Vermont

I recently found this site after rediscovering the joys of canoeing. I’ve been spending a lot of time reading this forum so I figured I should join and introduce myself. I spent much of my youth canoeing rivers and lakes in Iowa and the Midwest. For the last couple decades, I’ve been using a...
