New Swift Prospector 15 Solo - Specs?

Thats still fudging it by .75" (1.75" if you get aluminum or wood gunwales), but I'm glad they got it closer. 😃

Vehicle problems while driving, or parking, to and fro canoe trips

I was laying even odds that I would be able to contribute to this thread today, but alas, the brown beast just keeps chugging. Maybe next week on the way back from the WPASCR... 🙃😆 Hopefully not, I need this thing to go at least two more seasons, preferably four...

    Hot Tent Suggestions?

In my experience, you will wake around the time the fire burns down to the point of needing stoked. Hot Tent Suggestions?

How cold are you going with it, and how much space do you want? Also, the stove is a huge piece of the system weight. My stove is a stainless bomb-proof unit, but weighs 20 lbs. My friend has a titanium affair that weighs much less, but gets kinda fiddly to set up. For lightweight systems, the...

Packing up a tent: Close zippers or leave them open?

I zip everything. Comes out ready to pitch, no weird line/flap entanglements, and no worries about damaged teeth or fly. Stuffing from the peak will generally eliminate air entrapment.

    Mini Campers

Do the windows slide open? Lots of commercial options for screening there. Or, you can leave the door open and make yourself a custom mesh curtain like THIS. I have used them for an unrelated cover project and had no complaints. They have a customization process that is quite thorough for the price.
