Pretty much how I describe the Vertige. Think I'll try to talk someone else into this Impulse. I know a couple of guys who need a river runner. I'm happy with the Vertige, and should stick with it as long as I can lift it - or until one of Kaz's creations comes within range.

I've been thinking a lot about that, and I think you may be right. Disappointing about that Prospector 15. I'm not sure what to think about that though. When I paddled the P14, I thought it had plenty of seat hight for kneeling. But I'm only 5' 11", so maybe I'm more of a fit.

My advice on this regarding the choice between a solo or a tandem when buying new is always go for the solo canoe. My reason for that is because it's not hard to find a good lightweight tandem canoe at a good price on the used market, but used solo canoes are rare. I can't give a qualified...

We were on the river six days. Could have easily done it in five. We did some hiking halfway through a couple days. We didn't drag our feet much on the water, but didn't hurry. Played croquet in camp a few times.
