I thought I would chime in and say that I had to extend my 60” Yakima bars to bring 2 canoes to the WPASCR. I did this by zip tying 2x4’s to the tops of my existing bars. I used (4) 175 lb rated zip ties for each bar. I then used paracord as a back up and securely tied the 2x4’s to the cross bar...

@recped thanks for the reply. There is definitely both dirt and some UV fading going on. I need to look at the bottom of the hull, haven’t see it in person yet. The price is right, I’m just trying to get some feedback before I find a way to make a space to store this thing.

22’ Ford Explorer with Curtis Northstar and Curtis Dragonfly sitting on 2x4’s tied down to my 60” Yakima bars, and same Explorer with my Mad River Explorer.

I had the whole family at the event, including the dog, so it was an exercise in attempting to control chaos the entire time. Some young girls offered to watch our kids for an hour. It was glorious. My wife paddled a Curtis Ladybug that she fell in love with. I imagine we’ll be on the lookout...

This one is definitely figuring it out. I wish I could easily post a video. I’d show you one where all 3 of the girls (my 4 yr old, and 2 yr old twins) were paddling with my wife and I.

Thanks Glenn! NOC provided us with an Esquif Prospecteur 16. We paddled the Little Tennessee River which is mostly swifts and class I but we did get to have some fun with a couple class II ledges. Instructor’s name is William Dupree. He was awesome. Would recommend.

I could care less where I'm sitting as long as she's there and having a blast with me.
