Nothing specific just hopeful as most of my time off this year is currently booked for traveling in 2026. I do have a week come mid October I plan to use for paddling. I do believe we will take a kayak tour while visiting Nova Scotia in June? However I'm already looking ahead to 2027 with eyes...

What are your current solo canoes and how do you like them?

The image of me on Jabe was the same day I picked up my Hornbeck. Plan was to camp overnight BUT all the sites were taken. So I hit a brewery in Bolton Landing instead before heading home. Sadly I have not been back to Jabe😢

    Narrows of Lake George, NY

Great story, thank you for sharing! I've always been intimidated by the heavy waves on LG. Just as we got off the water that Sunday morning the wind came whipping up the lake and the rollers started.

    Narrows of Lake George, NY

Interesting history Glenn thank you. I will most definitely pass it on. I have not paddled that boat but from what I am told it is pretty stable tripper as well as whitewater.

    Narrows of Lake George, NY

Good morning Glenn! My friend Tim who was on this trip "Millbrook" spent most every summer on LG as he grew up in Queensbury, he is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Lake George. Here is his response about the Millbrook: "It has had a few names. It was called the Ashuelot when mine was...

Some recent thoughts on solo canoe vs. touring kayak.

I just picked up an Eddyline Sitka XT kayak as I feel there is a time and place for one. Both canoes and kayaks have limitations depending on what you are doing. I primarily purchased the kayak for "Coastal Paddling". As for your Echo I heard rumors Esquif is making a new version which is...

On the weekend of October 18th 2025 myself, friends Tim Goodrich and Patrick Dolan set off on the Queen of Lakes, Lake George, NY for an overnight. This would be my first adventure of 2025 and most likely my last as well. Life has been hectic "In a good Way" and I've barely paddled. We headed...
