Welcome. I wouldn't have passed it up at that price either. As for repairs: I'd G-flex the one hole that looks like it went through (near waterline, not the bullet hole at the sheer), repair the seats and replace the gunwales. I wouldn't get real excited about the rest of the cosmetics...

Glass (I'm assuming 6 oz e-glass?) should be fine for anything I'd be doing with it (I portage most class 3s) and I think you'll pick up a little impact resistance w/ glass (particularly on the inside). S-glass would, of course, be better but I wouldn't order it or the kevlar for that repair...

Looks like a good find. Unless it was build prior to 1972, there should be a hull number (probably) stamped into the stern (rear) of the port (left) side. If you can find that, there are many here that can decipher it.

Yes; yes it will. I'm really not sure if it's the epoxy or the cloth that is damaged by UV light but I'd slap a couple of coats of spar varnish on when you're done. That should protect the epoxy (if it needs it) and remove the sanding scratches.
