Walnut laminations turned out pretty good. I see one spot will need a little filler. Decided to go herringbone pattern with the stripping. It seemed the strongest and easiest for me to fit. It's going pretty well.

My mistake there was two fold. I forgot to hit that end with the heat gun and pre-twist plus I yarded down on it too hard to try to close the gap. With both of those forces together it was too much. So lucky that it appears to have turned out ok.

Thanks for sharing that link. My exterior laminations aren't glued together yet. I was hoping to keep the inner stem "landing pad" width uniform for the outers. Hopefully it turns out but sometimes it doesn't when you don't follow the plans.

I planed my stems down some more and beveled them. The strip curve I have at the ends was a bit too tricky to fit up for my skill level without beveling. It should be fine now and I'll get back to it next week when I get some more time. Back to work tomorrow.
