    I usually take a hatchet and almost always the Sven saw. GB wildlife hatchet, GB small forest axe, an old Sandvik, and I just made an Ash handle for a head that a local blacksmith forged for me.

    Another map and atlas lover here. I have stacks of them on the bookshelves and in the cupboard. With so many people relying on their phones to tell them where to go these days, it seems like they have no sense of direction or the lay of the land anymore.

    Ha! I've done that too- hard to get any lighter weight than that. I do that for tent stakes also.
