From what I've read Musk Ox and Yak wool are very similar. (Never tried anything Made of Musk Ox though.) Yak wool is just much easier to find in outdoor clothing and significantly cheaper.. still expensive though.
Check out Yak wool if you haven’t already and the price doesn’t give you a heart attack
Outperforms merino for sure. I can attest.

I have no experience with Alpaca though. Can’t comment there.

Not a fan of the look of Kydex. Folder in my pocket while moving. Spyderco Delica or Benchmade Mini Griptilian. Barkies in my bag in leather sheaths. Treat them with Sno-Seal works well.
Moved over to 2 Barkrivers for most of my needs.
Ultralite bushcrafter in elmax for most camp tasks and a mini kalahari sportsman in cpm 154 for fish and kitchen duty.
Ok can someone explain this to me? Use small words please.

i have been on the look out for a used Ostrom Solo Pack with no luck. I have even contacted Dan at CCS to see if he would make me something custom with no luck.
So this looks awesome to me. Really like the idea of a split back for trimming the boat but don’t want to give up on single...
Solo on flatwater my 2 paddles usually are a GRB 12 degree bent and a Werner Kaliste double blade.
Tandem my 3rd paddle will be an all rounder...like a GO Sugar Island.
If you are interested in a Eureka system. I would go with their newer Bugzone model. Heard good things.
Will be be cheaper than the Nemo too by a bit.
