Jim, I agree with your statement about the stems looking not so nice right now. I think mine look terrible at the moment, but I have faith. I guess I hadn't thought about contaminates, but it seems like it happened right where I had to ditch my first roller.

One might use double sided tape maybe. This I'm not sure of as I have no experience with this severe changes in direction. Otherwise if a guy wasn't too worried about a slightly different angle on said shoulder the fact that it shrinks might hold it close enough that it may not matter?

Forgot to mention the Dacron basically works like peel ply. Takes some effort to remove, but isn't that bad.

No Title I started pulling staples yesterday afternoon, and from there I went to the block plane to knock down high spots. I also did a minimal amount of sanding. Feeling a lot better about how that last strip looks at this point since the rest of th hull looks pretty good.
