    Coleman Sportster Stove

Hi all, what do you use to protect your single burner Coleman stove? I have a Coleman Sportster duel fuel that I have been keeping in a coffee can, but the lid is just about spent. Anyone got some good, waterproof ideas? Share them!

    Rivets or screws?

No Title I did the aft pad eyes this afternoon, and they all came out great, I put the new seat on yesterday and it feels much better than the old molded one. I have another coupon from Austin Kayak so I will most likely order the forward seat and some d-rings soon...

    Rivets or screws?

On the vinyl gunwales, probably not midships though. Going to get some Harmony glue-on D-rings for gear storage. EDIT: After just installing a new Old Town Web seat this morning I see that there is no way to use a washer when I put the pad eyes on so I will just rivet without the washers...

    Rivets or screws?

Thanks for the info gents, I think I will go with the rivets since they are coming with the pad eyes for now. It's a set of 24 so I will do the aft first with 2 rows of 5. I will get some SS washers for the back side to keep it more secure. Mike McCrea, good idea on doing one hole at a time, I...

    Rivets or screws?

Hi all, I purchased a bunch of pad eyes from Amazon to rig my Discovery 158 fore and aft with float bags. The set came with rivets, so I would need to go out and buy a riveter, which is not an issue. My question is what do you guys and gals recommend, rivets or screws?

Sawyer Glide vs Bending Branches Loon paddle

Thank you for the input everyone, I will be heading out to the Albany area early next month and will make it a priority to check out the Foxworks factory. The wife and I will size out some of their 2nds and most likely walk out with a pair. No sense paying $15 shipping per paddle just to send...

Sawyer Glide vs Bending Branches Loon paddle

Thanks for the replies, I guess I should have clarified a little more. Ive been kayaking for over a decade, but the wife feels more comfortable if we're in the same boat, literally, so last year I picked up an Old Town Discovery 158 at a block sale for a song. It came with a pair of...

Sawyer Glide vs Bending Branches Loon paddle

Anybody have any input? Both of these are right around my price range for a pair and I was wondering if anyone would like to throw their opinions out there. I've gotten a good look at the Loon at Gander Mountain and like the ovalized shaft and big palm handle, but have only seen the Glide on...

    Greetings from Buffalo!

Hello, the name is Josh and the wife and I just got an Old Town Discovery 158 after a decade of kayaking. I am former active duty Navy and current reservist, and navigation was my specialty(quartermaster). Got out on the Buffalo River on Sat and we'll be hitting Red House Lake in Allegheny on...
