Almost a week away and it’s looking like the Jo Mary’s. Feel free to join if your around. Will keep you updated in the next few days. Heard rainy and cool temps. A blessing compared to the heat and humidity that has blanketed the area.

Just got a Mad River Monarch

Enjoy! Years back a guy sold me his uncles kayak for $112,50. Yes that was the price. I used it sparingly over a few years. Fixed up a few items like new foot pegs for rudder. Sold it for $1500. Boatman53 did some work for me. New owner was so excited. Just wish I could have used it...

Jo-Mary Lakes, Maine - October 2020 Solo Trip Report

Fantastic Brasenia! This area was mentioned to me last year and again this year. Your TR and video was amazing and eye opening. I wonder how the levels are there now? I posted a possible trip for there in about 3 weeks from now. Sorry I didn’t catch this TR back when you posted it. Did your...

    Amok Draumr Hammock

I tried the Amok and almost flipped back. I tried the Chameleon and sold it. I tried the Warbonnet XLC and sold it. I originally bought the Ridgerunner bridge since I’m a stomach sleeper but doesn’t work. Why I still have it I’m not to sure. I have the 20F Underquilt from Warbonnet also...

    Wood canvas canoe gathering?

Best wishes YC. Sadly I can’t make it those dates. Happily our son is flying in from London for his 30th birthday on the 19th. Have fun. I did enjoy going there about 4 times.

Poll: How much is your spouse or SO interested in canoeing compared to you?

As long as she has her wine I think she’s ok going. Bathrooms are important. I’m looking a picking up a Casita 17ft in the next 2 weeks and will plan our USA journey two years from now. Hopefully with the tandem and solo on the tow vehicle. Plus Canada tripping. Gonna need to google map the...

    Maine somewhere.

Thanks folks, sounds like the place to go. We can help each other with the portage if someone needs it. I’m not ashamed to ask for a helping hand. Learned how to make bannock so I’ll be the baker. Wonder about making bagels in the reflector oven. 🤔

Northstar Trillium Solo Canoe for sale - SOLD

I was hoping to go again this year. I think I went 2-3 times and up in Canada a few years ago. I can’t make it this final year there and am bummed out. Those Loon Works are nice. Are they all wood canvas?

Can someone share info about the water levels in late August about the Penobscot river Robin mentioned and Millinocket Lake near the Jo Mary’s. I guess when it gets closer to the beginning of August we can choose which place.

    The Millinocket Carry, Northern Maine

Thanks. I’m now thinking about clusters of trees that looked like a fire broke out. It’s possible flooding and high water killed them off. I need to pay more attention and read up before going on certain trips. Thanks again.
