I owned a Northstar Phoenix in IXP that I was very happy with. 14.5 feet long with wood trim was 44 lbs. Held up well to rocks and impacts.

I know Dan's products are no secret to the Canoeing community, but he doesn't come up on google for best traps and is rarely mentioned in the gear reviews by the national gear reviewers so I wanted to give a local guy a shout out. He's also a very patient canoe instructor as well.

Couldn't agree more. You can easily fit 2 2 quart vessels at the same time with the travelers grill. So light and small I pack it in my camp chair or thwart bag.
