I don't think I would consider the rapids a mandatory carry. It's a I-II section, with no significant channeling. Broad, shallow, and rocky. If you want even less flow, wait to launch from the dam until after noon, when they slow down the release rate unless needed for flood control.

BB, it's silnylon. I have another tent that is made of the material and already equipped with a stove jack. Silnylon melts with high heat and embers, no flaming. That's a good tip from Song of the Paddle. Below are a couple images, should anyone find this thread in the future and wonder what we...

Has any one modified their CCS Lean shelter to accept a silicone stove jack? I think this would be an awesome combo for hunting season paddling.
