What about a Northstar Trillium solo in IXP layup, 38 lbs.? It has 2.5” X 1.5” rocker which should be a better maneuvering river/stream canoe.

We are considering a Northstar Polaris, it is a little trimmer/faster, and slightly less rocker which should allow it to track better in windy conditions when crossing open water. I purchased a NS Trillium pack this spring and it is a very nice canoe.

I like Halpc’s idea, but if a trailer is easier on the pocketbook, I would suggest the trailer made by The Dock Doctors. We have one and I am a 70 year old lightweight that handles the trailer easily.

How about a Northstar Polaris, 16’9” tandem, 40 lbs., can be paddled solo.

Great video. I was able to play it on my 55” tv with my Apple TV+ app.

I stopped by Northstar Canoe in Princeton, MN and their Ocoee white water canoe looks pretty awesome.

My wife loves paddling her Placid Boatworks Oseetah. We are day paddlers if there is an overnight involved it is in our truck camper with heat, AC and all the amenities.

A friend has a Haven hammock and he really likes it.

My wife is probably the reason we why we own/paddle our pack boats. She loves her Oseetah and I am enjoying my Trillium.

I know this is an old thread but I just received a canoe cover from Red Leaf Design’s aka the Bag Lady for my Northstar Trillium and I am very impressed. It came promptly, in a cardboard box neatly folded, wrapped in brown paper, tied with jute twine and included a handwritten thank you note...

Just got back from a weekend up in Fish Creek Ponds and as long as there was a steady breeze the mosquitoes and black flys weren’t too bad BUT when it was calm the mosquitoes were biting. It was real breezy on Saturday afternoon and a brief thunderstorm early Sunday morning.

Paddling weather here in the NE.;)
