How do you inflate your air mattress?

Oh man, I tried all kinds of techniques to use the Flextail to deflate my Agnes. The pad material is so soft and flexible that it just sucks pad right to the intake. I tried it on low speed too. Same result. I tried each of the adaptors too...no dice. I even made a small pvc nipple and drilled...

How do you inflate your air mattress?

The deflate mode does not work for non-foam mattresses. The bag just sucks together and stops all airflow. Flextail is great for inflation though.

How do you inflate your air mattress?

Andrew answered quickly and yes, he does have a version for Big Agnes.

How do you inflate your air mattress?

I checked that Etsy site and he doesn't show adaptors for Big Agnes pads but maybe the ones shown are compatible but he just didn't say it. I messaged him about it. My Flextail Max 3 works okay on my Agnes but it would be better if the Flextail adaptor actually fit snugly.

From someone trapped in the Wabakimi fires

WOW! I guess we should all carry at least one layer of wool clothing. Most paddlers primarily have synthetics but that's definitely the wrong choice if there are flying embers. Cotton is better than synthetics around fire but if you have to stage yourself in the lake, cotton isn't a good...

    Raven Game & Gear Hoist?

I wasn't sure where to post this. Has anyone ordered one of these? I swear there was a discussion on here somewhere about these (maybe back in late May/early June). I ordered one ( they were in "preorder status) and they were to be shipped by the end of June. I've not received any shipping...

    Removing glue residue?

I needed to remove foam knee pads on my royalex Wenonah Rogue. Those pads were glued down 25 years ago and they were still VERY attached. It was a chore just getting the pads torn off. What now remains is a layer of adhesive with a 1/16" layer of foam. How can I safely clean all this off without...

    "Door mat" for tent entrance

We got one of these and we like it a lot. It's not super heavy but it is a little bulky. I love it for base camping. https://www.rei.com/product/204492/cgear-multimats-sand-free-picnic-mat

    Where have we all paddled?

The drive back from Smith River Montana, July 2017. Bugs were pretty thick. June in the BWCA. The entire front of the van looked like this.

    Where have we all paddled?

Wife and I have paddled 28 states as of now but last year we decided to set a goal to paddle all 50. We'll probably check off another 5 states this year. I will confess that a few states we did in rafts, but they were all paddle rafts, we never "went for a ride in an oar raft". Some rivers...

    West Branch Susquahanna

There are some decent resources on the WB Paddle Club site. Scroll down and click on the different sections icons and it will bring up some maps and access, camping, river hazard, etc info. Looks like the club is a potential source of helpful info. Might be worth the membership fee to obtain...

    West Branch Susquahanna

Finding shuttles is often a challenge on a lot of river trips, especially for multi day distances. A few years ago, we made arrangements with a taxi company on the Delaware River and that worked out pretty well and it wasn't too crazy expensive. We dropped off my wife and our gear at the put in...

    West Branch Susquahanna

Sproul State Forest has some camping I believe. From what I've read, the West Branch does not have a lot of options for riverside camping. Much of it is private land and a lot is State Game Lands.

    West Branch Susquahanna

Following. This section of the West Branch is on our "to-do" list but I don't think we can fit it in this year. I am especially interested in learning about shuttle services. If I lived closer, I would shuttle you. I believe a fair amount of the property along that section is Pa Game Lands which...

Commercial tarp poles: How many? Which ones?

We bought 2 of these Green Elephant last year. No complaints. We use 2 of them for a high side of the tarp, and use spare paddles on the back/ low side. It still gives plenty of head space. I 1st saw these on Outdoor Gear Review which gave them high praise...

    Sylvania wilderness barbless question

I tried calling about this yesterday and it was similar to my call to AuSable...100% automated, zero human to talk to. So I emailed them and surprise, surprise, Sylvania answered already. It is legal to possess barbed hooks but they must be disabled when actively fishing that lure. Common...

    Ausable River camping rules.

This is just a 2 night stop on our way to the UP. We wanted to see AuSable R but I am not expecting to be all by ourselves.

    Ausable River camping rules.

So I tried to call yesterday to ask some questions. That was a joke. 100% automated, nobody to speak with. So I messaged them, no reply as of yet. I'm not holding my breath.
