Hi John - I used Walnut for both laminated stems and trim on my Kite. Though the hull is painted on the outside, the contrasting stems on the inside look very nice. As Sailsman pointed out, the stems are encased, so no issue there. I used exterior oil on the trim. Though it hasn't had a lot of...
