All canoes are heavy fibreglass beasts off the same mould. You can choose red, white or green.

Last weekend was the Wargrave and Shiplake regatta on the river Thames. It's a family friendly and relaxed event unlike the Henley Royal regatta which happens a couple of miles down stream. Poling in canoes is an event which always produces some drama. As the river is around 12 feet deep...

I think this is very true, especially here in the UK. There is a type of person, often with a very short attention span and too much money, who needs a new hobby/interest at regular intervals. These people usually have a very deep wallet and will research to some depth to find the “best”...

Glenn, I have to correct you. All the canoes in these photos are made from true cedar, Cedrus Libani (cedar of Lebanon) which in small quantities for small boats is far cheaper here than imported red and white 'cedar' The last picture best indicates the size of canoe I'm talking about...
