Any chance you can share the exact Amazon link or the brand and name of those racks? I’ve been searching, but many at least look like they would not give my canoe enough roof clearance.

I love headlamps! Costco carries a three pack that is Duracell packaging if I remember correctly it has several lighting and flashing options, including a red light. It gets my vote!

Thanks for sharing the links. The Bending Branches paddle is so nice! I think my plan will be to go with a cheaper option to see what I prefer lengthwise, so I can make a well informed purchase on a nicer paddle down the road.

Thank you. I see these on Amazon as the price is pretty low. Would you say the overall quality is good? I like the idea of adjustable to see what I prefer most. I’ve held carbon paddles that are so nice and light, but I don’t want to commit before being certain of the length I’ll need.

Looking for any thoughts or recommendations on fish finders. I’m curious about the Garmin Striker series. Just sort of looking for an affordable entry point to getting into fish and the depth they are at. Budget matters.

I’ve been on a recent kick with the writings of Jerry Dennis. Very enjoyable, and applicable especially for those of us in Michigan.

I’ll be planning a few trips on the rivers in Northern Michigan. I also am looking at the creeks close to home for a few “camping” trips for me and my boys so they can you their youth canoes for something more than plunking around the channel their grandma and grandpa live on.

Cinnamon rolls and pancakes! One reason canoes are great is because side you can haul some serious weight! No need to skimp.
