I had to repair a Wenonah last year. I used kevlar skid and two layers of S-glass, then peel ply then sand and a final coat of vinyl ester. They turned out well! I will add that on the external skids I repaired I masked off a symmetrical area wider than the coverage of the fabric.

That will be an enjoyable trip. If it were me knowing what little I know of cane seats , I would wrap my seat with 4 each NRS straps for extra support in case of seat failure!

One other thing, the hull may not snap back into it's original shape and you may have to figure something out to get back to your original hull shape in that area. Several ways of doing it if one thinks it through.
