This is what I mean he has some nails bent over. Looks like he hit the original screw in some parts and just finished it by bending it over. Just seems like a flimsy piece of wood for the outside gunwale.

The guy I got it from was just using a thin strip of wood and nailing it on with brass nails. Def don’t think he was using the right stuff as he pulled off the original pieces. How thick are the outside gunwales normally?

that looks like the one lol! Maybe the inwales might not be so hard on mine since he already pulled off the outer one. Just have to take out the brass nails he put in. I don't think I need to do anything with the keel as it looks to be in good shape. There are a few gaps though between the keel...

I will try to upload some more but was limiting on my space. Might have to make them smaller files so I can upload more. Don’t have a table saw but have a circular saw and jig saw.
