To get the most out of freestyle maneuvers it is important to be bow heavy when initiating a turn by rising off the seat to your knees to free the stern which allows it to spin around. I use these maneuvers on all my river paddling trips makes eddy ins and outs much more fun !
The Yellowstone is my least favorite because its skegged. The Superenova is fun but slow to respond. I use it for tripping on moving water which is what it was made for. The Illusion Rocks. Heels to the rail and spins on a dime. MY EDC !

I have been looking at Swifts new 14' Prospector. It has an unusual chine design but it look like a fun boat to paddle .
