A serendipitous encounter while enroute to a grandchildren's high school graduation in Little Rock last year (2014) led to my introduction to the folks gathered at Twin Bridges campground (MO) for the 2014 Spring Ozark Canoe Rendezvous. I returned this year, with a 2200 mile "sidetrip" (from the shores of Kachemak Bay, Alaska) to the shores of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, to pick up a lightly used Wenonah Sandpiper, in Royalex a canoe most suitable for the shallow gravel bottoms of the rivers of the Ozarks. This acquisition brought my fleet to an even dozen and cries from many friends of "enough already!" But single & retired I think I can have all the toys I want!
