Purple Rain my new Hemlock Eaglet

My wife retired back in June so we've been focusing on doing some traveling. We are currently in Seattle, WA.

I agree but sadly I've barely paddled this year. Not sure if I'll get out at all during fall?

Not sure honestly on color choices but I would assume so as it is a dyed fabric

I totally agree and it is a double edge sword. Wish I had the answers.

Pretty much. A solo that can do most anything as well.

Yes love that they are trying new things. I've been saying a boat is a boat is a boat for a while now. You can only make so much $ off the boat itself. This is what Swift has figured out. Like buying a car, it is all about choice an options.

Matt is experimenting different layups. I know he has an SRT in IXP he is testing. Also mine is a purple fabric and no gel coat. I think my shirt is a blue in the avatar

This has been in the works for a while now but last Saturday 7/19/25 I traded in my Hemlock Eaglet lll in the lite-tech layup to Hemlock Canoe. When setup as a solo (Front and rear seats removed and thwarts installed) she weighed in at 38#. As a "Combi" it was right around 43#. I found that I'd...

Solo Composite Canoe that can do it all 😉

IMO the Hemlock Eaglet is one of the best tripping canoes around, it does everything well. Mine is the lite-tech version (38# as a solo) but was built as a combi, delivered as a solo. I had it built this way so when my nieces come to visit I can pop in the seats and we can paddle around the...
