Free cedar strips

No, I'm not giving any away, lol. A local lady was in the process of moving, and she called me and asked me if I wanted some cedar. I went out and had a look. 35 17 foot 1 1/8 wide bead and coved straps, beautifully made. Pluse enough cedar to make enough strips for a complete canoe.

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to start a new solo canoe, and I'm pretty sure its going to be a Raven. The osprey I built is fine, but I guess I got spoiled with my previous Raven, I really enjoy the space. Probably won't post the build, but I am going to try to go light weight this time.

Lol Glenn, at the risk of violating forum guidelines, I would suggest that your use of a soft wood was the problem.
