Finally ordered one today, 1.1 oz, 10x12 in yellow. Reflective cord and the stuff sack to help keep it on the line. Can't wait.
Conk, What kind of elastic and rating do you use?
I just throw about a 100' of paracord up and over a tree branch and tie it to the center loops on that CCS tarp.
One of the things that makes this little paddling community special (and one or two others I participate in), is that fellow members, some small vendors...they feel almost like friends and family and even if all you have ever done is communicate a little with them about a trip or a boat or a product.
I have been using the very same for years. I have had it set up in hellish winds without any issues. I like to have most of my guy lines elasticized, which helps a lot with temperature and moisture sag. Some here may debate whether ridgelines are best under or over a tarp. I am firmly in the over camp and thread my ridge through the loops. With all this said I have just purchased a new catenary cut Supper fly with door flaps. It will meet my hammock shelter needs much better but I do not think you can beat the versatility of a flat CCS Tundra Tarp. Enjoy and be mindful of the campfire sparks.
