Why I love the Everglades

This has some stunning photography.. Nice thing to watch with a cuppa. I now have to go back and watch for kites eating apple snails.. so much noticing to do! For me its all about the birds,, manatees, dolphins and the stars.

The Everglades are a great canoe destination, it is probably the harshest wilderness area i've tripped in. The bird life is amazing but for us the main attraction were the crocodiles that mate in March in the Cape area of Fl. Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
