You can just as well read that last word as Canoeist. Or Paddler, or Sailer.

Top Kayaker has the most complete selection of strap eyes and lashing hooks, open and closed clam cleats and even strap grommets for webbing pass throughs. I use the heck out of those little, hard to find items, and try to keep the most commonly used one in shop supply.

I ordered 100 pack of black nylon strap eyes four or five years ago and have only four left. Screw buying singles or ten packs, gimme another 100.

Lashing hooks and strap grommets are handy in canoe outfitting as well.

Every kind of small boat cleat imaginable, open cleats, closed cleats, side cleats.

Stainless steel deck loops for use as fairleads on sail lines, or anytime a nylon strap eye just will not do.

All of that is just on the Deck Fitting section of the parts aisle. The Top Kayaker site is a dangerous place to wander around, but it is hard to find all of those kinds of wee outfitting parts and piece in stock even at the best paddlesports shops.

I've used Tom a few time now and it's amazing how fast the order arrives. For all the things Mike has listed and more this is where I go now. I gave up on the marina's around here.

Thanks for that link, very helpful. I try and NOT give any more money to the West Marine's of the world but at the same time odds and ends are very hard to source sometimes. Be very helpful for a storage project I am involved in right now..

Even if I could find all of those outfitting parts at West Marine I would rather order them from Top Kayaker. And not just because West Marine is pricey, and a horrible cross metro drive away.

Top Kayaker is a small, family run business, and the owner Tom Holtey is always helpful when searching for some specific piece or part.
