Tested the water resistance of my phone today

After seeing the same snapper and softshell turtles 2 days in a row sunning themselves on a local lake and letting me get surprisinglg close, I took my phone with today. No snapper and the big softshell was more cautious like they usually are. Put phone in shoe so it didnt roll around then flung phone into water when grabbing shoes at takeout. Said a bad word and found phone. S7 is actually water resistant. Attached is crummy shot of big softshell.

I tested the float ability of mine in the BWCA back in April, floated like a rock. Lost all my trip pics too.

Watch for overheating and short battery life. All may still not be well
Mine swam. Worked for a month then died. Dead

I recently swamped and soaked my I5 as well as my Nikon D80...the Nikon is near end of life, so if it didn't recover I would shed no tears, but if the lens stained, I would cry, cry, cry.
By the next day, phone, lens, and camera were all fine. It's been 3 weeks so far...
A buddy drenched his I6 in 3 feet of water, took 20 minutes to fish it out. It was DOA, but revived after a month's rest!!
