The idea of this topic is to post canoe pictures of your own or from the internet with sufficient clues that others can guess where the location is. In the age of Google, it's difficult to conceal the identity of internet pictures without some fiddling around with addresses. Where is this?

The plenitude of wide Prospector style hulls in Glenn's photo would certainly indicate somewhere up north eh, but if it's not in North America, the colors suggest somewhere in Greece or Finland. Stripperguy has given us a view north up Indian Pass so he has to be on Henderson Lake in the Adirondack High Peaks Wilderness.

There are no Scottish lads on this board. Looks like Ness Loch.

GG

Loch Ness it is, the clue being the sail flags. But no Scottish lads? We of Clan Cameron would disagree.

I hate to be too technical in a thread that's supposed to be fun, but I believe Stripperguy's photo is inconsistent with the topic as stated in the OP ("canoe pictures").

The saltire (St Andrew's cross) should've been a dead giveaway laddies and lassies.

That pea souper can only be one place. But what are canoes doin' jiggin' fer cod b'y ?

OK,
Due to the overwhelming responses...
View from Rock Lake with Blue Mt, Tirrell, Tongue and Dun Brook Mt's (from left to rt)
The cliff faces on the backside of Blue Mt should have been the give away.

The dark outcropping most of the way to the right has a name. Prior to 1997, a rock arch would have also been visible here. Hope this isn't too easy, but it's not any fun if no one can guess it, right?
