    Ely marathon

Anybody participate in the Ely Marathon this year? I don’t think I can complain about a portage ever again. How about an 8,390 rod portage, no thanks. https://www.google.com/gasearch?q=marathon%20with%20a%20canoe&source=sh/x/gs/m2/5#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:c2e08b32,vid:gUhyntxToEE,st:0 Jim

Thought at first that might have been the reason for the plane but in retrospect probably not. Jim That was some...

    Felt safe until now

I stayed in a Motel 6 in Duluth while driving from Maine to the BWCA, I miss judged the time due to the time change and knew I wasn’t going to get as far as I wanted, I think I had already driven 12 hours that day. I was too exhausted to go to another place so I stayed. I was fine and my car was...

    proper cat hole shovel

I have this one, not as light as some but compact and if needed can dig around in fireplace ashes without melting. A nice touch, this folded handle extends past the point of the shovel. I have no idea who made it. Jim
