I've seen quite a few Moose while canoeing, mainly in Maine. They shed their antlers every winter. But I don't know how often both antlers come off at the same time, especially when on camera.
Cool video Glenn. It sounds like one guy with a drone can find all the antlers. My six foot paddle was as high tech as I got, standing for a better view in likely areas.
Is that in your yard in Alaska or the Poconos? I assume it is the former. my brothers live in the Poconos and would be very interested to learn that there are moose in the area.
A neighbor down the ridge from me had a moose on his game camera this weekend. They are pretty rare around here in mid-coast Maine. What else is rare around here is black bears, with very few contacts or sightings, which surprised me when we moved here 3 years ago. Maine claims to have over 35,000 bears but also a long bear harvesting tradition.
