303 Preservative on Composite Canoes

It also might help preserve the suppleness of the thin rubber cuffs on dry suits, though I'm not sure that has anything to do with UV.
I use 303 on the cuffs to help them from drying out and needing to be replaced. Pretty much what you said, but I don’t use it on the cuffs for any UV protection. Something someone showed me a while back, and I’ve maintained the habit.

@ErktheRed 's last comment just above, does anyone here have even a solid anecdote (never mind 'hard evidence') that this stuff provides worthwhile UV protection for hulls of any material, when the hull is stored indoors when not in use or transit?
Thanks for taking the time to read it. I've had a copy for years and have made the case against 303 many times in other forums, but fear the allure of a nice shiny hull and a boat builder's recommendation trumps science every time.
