Adjustable seat

Sorry I didn't see your post sooner.

Swift sells all the parts for their sliding seats (I have 2 Swift solos with sliders and I like them a lot).

Hemlock canoe sells a tractor seat that hangs from regular seat drops and can be adjusted fore/aft. It looks like a great design to me. I don't have one but I'm considering getting one.

Oak Orchard Canoe sells a sliding seat kit for $50. I've never dealt with them.

Here are some pics of how I built a sliding seat on my last build. I used black PVC pipe and 1” aluminum tube. The PVC pipe is attached to the seat, which can slide along the aluminum tube when there is no weight on it, but very sturdy when someone is sitting on it. The cross brace the aluminum rests on is a composite hockey stick in the picture, but could just as easily be another aluminum tube.
