Thanks all! I got the garage cleaned up today so as to get the “rack” back out. Pics tomorrow. It does not appear that it split on a glue line but that we just hit a sharp rock. But dang did it take on water fast!

I think I was addicted about half way through. I was surprised at how easy and enjoyable the build was. Granted I watched many hours of video and read many form posts before and during the build, but all the preparation made for a good build.

I have been looking for decking material, but so far I am only finding pressure treated lumber. I did find a place a few hours away that sales S/U/E grade (standard/utility/economy) might be worth a drive to see what it looks like.

Thanks Brian...Weight is not a huge concern and I like the idea of having some wood imperfections that would add in some "character" to the boat. That should open up options. I will see what I can find in the 16-18 ft range in decking material. I saw a video of the skill saw method and it looks...
