My first canoe was a 17’ Michicraft aluminum canoe with flush rivets and a shoe keel. I was around 22 years old.

The Svea 123 is my favorite stove and my Sigg Tourist is my favorite cookset. I hate the msr stoves with the aluminum foil windscreens. The stoves are good but the windscreens are junk. I wish I could find the stainless steel Sigg Tourist cookset at a reasonable price.

While wolf attacks are rare, they do happen. A few years ago a woman was chased by a wolf on the Richardson Highway here in Alaska. She got into a porta potti to get away from the wolf. The wolf kept her trapped in the porta potty for around 6-8 hours before the wolf went away.

I have an Old Town Discovery 119 and a Wenonah Wilderness Ultralight. The Old Town is dang near indestructable, but the stability sucks. I haven’t taken the Wenonah out yet.

I have a pair of US Army Mickey Mouse boots for snowmobiling when it is warmer than -10F. I also have a pair of US Army Bunny Boots for when it is warmer than -55F. So far the coldest temperature I have ridden my snowmachine is -35F.

Motor vehicle drivers today has multiple distractions in the vehicles today with radios with multiple menus instead of buttons and knobs, navigation screens, cell phones, etc. Not making excuses for them, but that is the world we live in today.

We also use our Chevy Equinox as a toad behind our motorhome. It works real well for that also.

I have never sat in a tractor seat in a canoe. I don’t think I would care for it.
