I was cleaning my book shelf, and found a packet containing Canoe plan descriptions, sent to me by Doug Doremus, back in Nov. 2017.
Eskimo Tom (Gerds) from Elk River Mn.( As stated on the descriptions) Designed a vast number of canoes, using Plank construction. He even listed hull speed, prismatic coefficients,S/L ratios and D/L ratios.
Obviously computer generated.
Has anyone built any of Tom's canoes ?
Tom's canoe designs range fro 8'- 20' solos. Interesting designs.
Years ago I edge glued 1/4" strips into flat 4"planks, then built a Wee Lassie canoe.
I'm intrigued by the designs !
