Paddling or snowshoeing to a nice winter spot and cooking up some soup on a fire is my favorite way to spend my days off, thanks for sharing the video! Alas, I took a weird fall cross country skiing right before thanksgiving and may not be able to paddle again until end of March. When things get tough and I'm tired of stretching therapeutic bands, I will fire up the jetboil in my mancave (don't try that at home folks) and watch this video on the big screen while cooking up some soup.

I remember when I lived up north, spending all day cross country skiing, bringing along a thermos of hot chocolate and lunch. Or just hiking up a hill with snowshoes to have a picnic on a south facing slope. Being comfortable in the cold gives me an indescribably warm feeling.

Waterdog Sounds rough. Especially since it sounds like you're an active person. Make it a heartier soup than the one I had.
