i just happened to come across this site while doing a search for Great Slave Lake. Looking forward to participating. My wife Kathleen and I live in east central Saskatchewan, and have been paddling northern Canadian rivers for more than 25 years, beginning with the South Nahanni River in 1990. Although I am now 70, I hope our three weeks on Great Slave Lake in 2017 won't be our last trip!

Last summer, for the first time, the canoe became difficult to throw up onto my shoulders! Kathleen said it was just because I was out of practice. Nice of her to say so.
