Denise here, Delaware River, Adirondacks, little bits of Maine over the years.
My son and daughter we're very much into Adirondack Wilderness tripping as I was but I haven't been back there in many years.

We also were into restoring old old towns or others even designed and built a 15 foot solo W/C and built a number or strip canoes.

I'm also a member of the Delaware Valley WCHA.

Hi Denise, Did you use your wood canvas canoes for canoe tripping back in the day? Nice workmanship

Thank you! My 15 ft wood canvas that I'm recanvassing now was built as my personal solo canoe for the Adirondacks. I can't ask you to believe me but from experience I will tell anybody wood canvas, and even birch bark canoes are not as fragile as people think they are.

Hi Denise, Welcome to the forum! I do believe you will fit right in with all of your experiences. Glad to have you on board! Keep posting cause you have the skills to help teach us all.

Ah but those of us with wood canvas canoes do believe you
we all have had the opportunity to know that

Jeanne taught me how to hand cane a canoe seat

thank you all! I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy like a baby duck!I

Can't even remember how many canoe seats I caned by hand. But if you look close at the picture I posted earlier of the two I just made, you will see they have pressed in spline! My carpal tunnels & hands are still saying thank you to me!

Welcome Denise, and nice boats you have there. I'm your part time neighbor to the north. I have three Old Town w/c boats at my summer place in the Poconos and will probably join the Delaware chapter of wcha when I move back there.

Looks good, is that a heated area?

You should post these pics in the wood canoe section, us w/c folks need the support.:)

It's the basement of the house but it's not real warm but warm enough not like the garage where they get heat from the Sun, I've posted some pics on the other parts of the Forum too
